The ProjectStory

Having already remodeled four bathrooms in a Brookline Colonial, now the clients sought reinvention for the kitchen, office, family room and basement. While open, the original kitchen lacked the architectural character and functionality expected within a formal colonial-style home. Contemporary cabinetry felt disconnected from the home's traditional aesthetic, and an awkward pantry wall disrupted flow. Removing the wall and extending cabinetry along the window elevation restored proportion, improved circulation, and strengthened the connection between spaces.

Within the existing footprint, the renovation created a more cohesive and highly functional layout. An ocean-toned range and custom banded hood with brass detailing serve as focal points, while expanded storage and layered finishes add depth and practicality. The reconfigured family room now accommodates a generous sectional, and television. The addition of a dedicated coffee station and corner bar establishes a welcoming gathering space for everyday living and entertaining.
